Sandeep is Global Head of Energy research at GlobalData. He is responsible for product development and delivery of the research agenda for the Oil & Gas and Power business units, a role to which he brings more than 15 years of experience in market research and consulting. In his previous role, Sandeep was responsible for India operations of GlobalData, overseeing research and the development of the Healthcare and Energy Intelligence Centers.

Svetlana Doh, Senior Analyst

Svetlana manages GlobalData’s Oil and Gas research for the Americas and previously worked for Schlumberger as an Engineering Team Lead and a Reservoir Engineer. Svetlana holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Moscow. She specialized in mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of the multiphase flow through the porous medium.

Barbara Monterrubio, Energy Transition Analyst

Based in London, Barbara specializes in Energy Transition and disruptive technologies for GlobalData’s Energy team. She has worked across different sectors in Sustainable Project Development and Energy Transition Policy implementation and has led public policy strategy development towards decarbonization for private and public sectors, including topics such as transmission, renewable strategies, power generation, infrastructure, and policy implementation.

Will Scargill, Managing Analyst

Will leads GlobalData’s analysis of global energy economics and manages the UK-based research and analysis team. As part of this role, he coordinates modeling of macro supply and demand trends and analysis of the key themes driving the energy transition. Danny Richards, Lead Economist

Danny Richards is the Lead Economist for GlobalData Construction, focusing on the market sizing and forecasting for the global construction industry, and analysis of construction project opportunities and risks. He previously worked for the Economist Intelligence Unit as a Senior Economist, and before that as an Economist in the UK Government Economic Service. Danny has a BSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Development Finance from SOAS, University of London.

David Bicknell, Principal Analyst, Thematic Team

David Bicknell has over 30 years’ experience in writing about and analysing the technology sector, both from the vendor and the user perspective, and in the UK and the US. His career in technology journalism and analysis has included detailed research into IT projects and he has co-authored a book, ‘Crash’, which explored why and how IT projects go wrong. He has also co-authored a novel on the life of computer pioneer Charles Babbage. He has previously worked for a news agency and for the BBC.

Lil Read, Thematic Analyst

Dr Lil Read is an Analyst in GlobalData’s Thematic Research Team where she heads up thematic content for the construction industry. She joined the team in October 2020 after completing her PhD at the University of Cambridge on how plankton grow biominerals in response to changing climates.
